Abstract

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) has gained an important part of the interest of researchers and become very popular in last few years. MANETs can operate without fixed infrastructure and can survive rapid changes in the network topology. In this paper will introduce an overview about ad hoc networks, different definitions, different classifications, properties and different applications. Researchers are designing new MANETs routing protocols, comparing and improving existing MANETs routing protocols before any routing protocols are standardized. In this paper we have discussed routing fundamentals in MANET.
